Day-After Wedding Adventure Session

After Ruby & Louis tied the knot at the Columbia Gorge Hotel & Spa, we spent the following day off-the-grid. And since I’m always up for an adventure, I couldn’t wait to photograph this couple in front of one of Oregon’s most stunning waterfalls.

With its lush forests and dramatic falls, Oregon creates a breathtaking backdrop for photos of any kind – weddings, engagements, or in this case – romantic wedding portraits.

I loved having the chance to document these ethereal moments of Ruby and Louis. This place holds a special place in their hearts, and now I know why!

The two newlyweds embraced every moment of their wedding portrait session…so did I. Dressed in their wedding attire, they wandered barefoot on the mossy rocks, held hands beneath the mist, and let the magic of the waterfall surround them. Their love was so effortless and natural, and my goal was simply to capture it as it unfolded.

These photos feel cinematic – like a scene from a dream. And being part of this photoshoot reminded me why I love what I do. Every couple has a unique love story, and when set against a backdrop as wild and stunning as an Oregon waterfall, those moments feel even more timeless.
